Trust stars in new Channel 5 series

Emergency Department (ED) teams at Tunbridge Wells Hospital featured in a new TV documentary series.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital is one of three EDs that features in the new series of Channel 5’s ‘A&E After Dark’, which airs weekly from Thursday 4 January at 9pm on 5STAR. The final episode will go out on 15 February, with the series also available to stream on the My5 app.

Now on its fifth series, ‘A&E After Dark’ offers a glimpse of what it’s like to work on the front line of emergency care after hours and follows ED teams from Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

Chief Operating Officer, Sean Briggs said: “The Trust’s involvement in the latest series of ‘A&E After Dark’ gives us the opportunity to highlight the skill and dedication of our teams working in one of the best performing emergency departments in the country. Colleagues work incredibly hard around the clock to support patients and this series provides a fascinating insight into the outstanding care they provide. I want to thank all the patients, their families and our staff who took part in the filming and shared their experiences.”
