Find out what’s happening in our Trust

Healthcare Support Worker Open Day

Are you interested in joining our friendly nursing teams as a Healthcare Support Worker? Come along to our open day at Tunbridge Wells Hospital and find out what MTW can offer you.

If you are starting out in a healthcare career, returning to work after a break or changing careers from another sector, come along and talk to our experienced nursing team.  You’ll be able to join our assessment centre which will give you the opportunity to walk away with a job offer on the day.

No qualifications or experience in the healthcare sector? No problem. We will support you in your training and development. For us, it is most important that you have a caring and compassionate nature, the desire to help others and the drive to develop a rewarding career that you will be proud of.

You’ll join a supportive, inclusive and diverse team, in a Trust that supports flexible working patterns and offers a range of benefits to ensure an excellent work-life balance.

This recruitment event will not be recruiting Healthcare Support Workers for paediatrics or midwifery services.

The event takes place on a Saturday. Please arrive at 9am to take full advantage of the day, which will include a presentation, the opportunity to find out about our specialties and to discuss career pathways with our experienced team. You will then be invited to proceed to our assessment centre which will include:

  • A group discussion
  • A basic literacy and numeracy assessment
  • A practical exercise of learning and demonstrating a basic skill

Successful completion of the assessments could mean that you leave the day with a job offer!

Apprenticeship opportunity

This role can also be offered as an apprenticeship through successful completion of the Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship, which includes the Care Certificate and functional skills (English and Maths Level 1).

You will have direct supervision and support from Registered Nurses/Midwives and other members of the team. If you are interested in applying for the apprenticeship route, please make this clear in your supporting statement so that we can shortlist your application accordingly.
